just the two of us

In July 2026, my husband and I escaped to Aruba to celebrate his birthday and this trip was exactly what we needed. No kids. No big group. No packed schedule. Just the two of us with time to relax, reconnect, and simply enjoy each other.

As much as I love traveling with our family and friends, I also believe there is tremendous value in taking a trip as a couple. Life is busy, and sometimes getting away from the responsibilities and routines at home gives you the space to slow down and remember how much you genuinely enjoy being together. Aruba was absolutely perfect for that.

OUR STAY AT SECRETS BABY BEACH ARUBA

We stayed at Secrets Baby Beach Aruba, a newer adults-only, all-inclusive resort that opened in June 2025. I was excited to experience this property firsthand, and it certainly made an impression.

The resort is beautiful and incredibly well laid out, with several different areas that allow you to create the type of day you want. Whether you're looking for a quieter place to relax together or want to be closer to the activities and entertainment, there are options throughout the property.

The entertainment was top-notch, and the adults-only atmosphere gives the resort a romantic feel that is perfect for couples. I also found the décor and overall ambiance to be different from other Secrets properties I have experienced, giving Baby Beach its own personality rather than feeling like another version of a resort I've already visited.

IS SECRETS BABY BEACH FOR EVERYONE?

No. And that's actually something I think is important to say.

One of the biggest benefits of personally visiting resorts is being able to determine who I would recommend them to and, just as importantly, who I wouldn't.

A beautiful resort doesn't automatically make it the right resort for every traveler. Your expectations, travel style, priorities, preferred atmosphere, and what you want to experience during your vacation all matter.

After experiencing Secrets Baby Beach for myself, it has officially earned a spot on my list of resorts I will recommend and quote for clients when I know it's the right fit for them.

That's one of the reasons I continue to travel and experience these destinations firsthand. I'm not simply looking at photographs and a list of amenities. I want to know what it actually feels like to be there.

For us, Aruba and Secrets Baby Beach gave us exactly what we needed: time together, beautiful surroundings, relaxation, romance, and a chance to reconnect.

Sometimes the best trip isn't the one where you see and do everything. Sometimes it's the one where you finally have time to do nothing. . . together.
